The tutorials are helpful overall, and I liked having a clear guide to follow. A few sections moved a little faster than I was comfortable with, though, so I found myself pausing and rewatching to make sure I didn’t mess anything up or skip an important step.

Just a warning for anyone stressing about getting help fast, I had an issue and their support team sorted it out really quickly. They were helpful, responded fast, and I didn’t have to chase them around. Rare to have a support experience this smooth.

I’ve grabbed a few ActionVFX packs for my projects, and overall I’ve had a good experience with them. A lot of the explosions, smoke, and debris clips look great right out of the box and are easy to drop into a scene. That said, I don’t treat every asset like it’s instantly production-ready. A few of them looked a little soft to me or needed extra color matching before they felt like they belonged in the shot. For the price, I personally expected the quality to feel a bit more consistent across the board. I’d still use them again, but I usually go in knowing I’ll need to test a few options before finding the one that really works.

i tried out a few of the packs, but they just didn’t look very realistic in my shots. the fire and smoke looked kind of pasted on instead of actually being part of the scene. could work for quick edits or casual stuff, but if you’re going for realism, i wouldn’t really recommend it.

AE works okay overall, but I wish the compatibility setup was a little smoother. The biggest annoyance for me is having to verify things over and over again, it gets old fast when I’m just trying to use it normally. It does the job, but the process could definitely be less of a hassle

The stuff itself was good, no complaints there, but the downloads were slow. I felt like I was just sitting around waiting in a queue forever before things actually moved along. Not a dealbreaker, but definitely frustrating.

I gave 4 stars because the licensing on actionvfx was easy to follow. I liked that I could quickly understand whether I could use the assets in paid client projects without digging through a bunch of confusing legal pages. The wording around commercial use and project work was clearer than what I’ve seen on a lot of other VFX sites. I did have a couple small questions at first, but overall it was straightforward and made the whole buying process feel less stressful.

I’ve been using ActionVFX to find clips like explosions and smoke, and the search makes it way easier than I expected. I bought what I needed quickly. Checkout worked fine. No issues there. The prices felt a little high, though.

I grabbed a few clips from ActionVFX for a small project, the effects themselves looked good. I was excited to drop them in, but then I started feeling kind of embarrassed because I had already told myself they’d be perfect for the edit.
Once I put some of the shots into my 4K timeline, a few of them looked softer than I expected. Maybe I just didn’t pay close enough attention and picked the wrong pack, which makes me feel a little dumb, but it was still frustrating after spending money on it.

The site was easy to use, and the footage is definitely usable depending on what you need. I just wouldn’t assume everything is super clean high-res without double-checking first, because I learned that the slightly awkward way.

They update the collections often, maybe every few weeks or so, and I almost always end up finding something I was looking for. It feels like the new stuff keeps getting better each time

I was just trying to look around and find a few effects, but the site felt kind of clunky. It took too many clicks to get anywhere, and the filters didnt really help much.

A few pages were slow to load for me, and I kept getting turned around going back and forth between products. The layout looks nice at first, but actually using it got annoying fast.
The products might be good, but the website made me not want to keep browsing. It just wasnt a great experience for me

I’ve been happy with this library so far. There’s a good mix of effects to choose from, and most of the time I can find something that fits what I’m working on. A few categories feel like they could use a bit more variety, but overall it’s been solid and easy to use.
